Looking through the art repository ( http://openth.pbworks.com/Images-of-New-Graphics ) I couldn't help to see the differencies between the styles used for the in-game objects.

I know it's EARLY, and that these are early drafts, but the differencies between Yabol/Kamo are very evident. And I can see the differencies grow as the number of people doing the graphics increases.

What's most noticeable is the use of shadows, antialiasing, colors and style. Using objects with so many differencies would cause the game to be... distracting? Or, at least, give the game a bad feeling graphic-wise for the end user.

I'd suggest some more collaboration between the artists in the future, because the "anyone can do something" won't bring the project any good, in my opinion.

True, and were aware of that (at least I am). These are only made for now and they probably wont be included in-game, but well be remade with proper lights, shadows, aa, using 1 template, or 2 (for max and blender users).

EDIT: Also i think that whole rooms will be claimed by 1 person, so that in-room items will look familiar since 1 person is responsible for them.

How about specifying a single file format to save to (or perhaps 2, one for 3d, one for 2d), so that, at the end, one person could make the finishing touches (to create a uniform look for the game) in his software of choice?
Would that even be possible? (I don't know anything about 3D drawing, but I hear .obj is kind of a standard; otherwise, using .blend makes some sense, since, after all, Blender is free and obtainable by anyone, but then not everyone is comfortable with Blender...)
Also, how about having some specifications, in terms of color scheme, resolution, lighting and such?

That is exactly what we're waiting for. Since this doesn't have a very high priority it hasn't been done yet.
