This topic is dedicated to replacing all the random stuff/furniture in the hospital, things that went in the other category.

Since this old install of phpBB doesn't support tables (bleg), We'll just have to do with this format:

[name of item]
[done/wip/unclaimed] by [name of contributor]
[links to files with render]

Claiming items is done by posting here, and once something has been claimed (wip (Work In Progress) or done), you can try to remake it, but it's not that 'ethical', somebody did their best.

Content creation guidelines:
All objects should be rendered with lights at the same spot relative to the object for each render, and shadows must be rendered to a seperate file. Size guidelines:

In 3dsmax, a cube of 200x200x200 should be about 1x1x1 meter, or one square in the game. Try to keep it between those boundaries for a single square object. Rendering is best done using my
3dsmax template, or make your own:
The camera's angles relative to the object must be 45+(90x) degrees on the Z axis (relative to the horizontal plane), and 30 degrees tilt. A square single square should render to a 96x64 rectangle in the final render. Switching anti-aliasing off might give better results
Example:

Anyways, for the objects (images nicked from strategywiki.org):

I'll use this template for the other thread too, to make them uniform.

New versions with changed colors + textures (recycle icon on bin and leaf texture on plant) + added light.

Light is 1 Target Spot at [0 -200 363] (between NORTH and EAST camera) pointed at the same spot as them [0 0 200] with default properties, only cone is bigger 150x150x100.

Hit me with ur opinions Very Happy Razz

Looks good. We will have to think about shadows and light, though. Objects shouldn't change which direction they are "spotted" from depending on direction since the sun will be at the same spot all the time in the game.

True, fixed. Very Happy

Now bin have shadow always on right ('sun' on the left part of screen) just like it is in TH (at least for the wall shadows). Did it by making 4 Target Spot lights, each in the same place as cameras in Bami's Template [+-200 +-200 +363]. At each graphic only light on the left side of used camera is on.

EDIT: I'll do the same for the plant later.
EDIT2: One of the bins have 1 light messed up little, ill remake them again Wink

This looks very cool, but I have 2 suggestions:

Wouldn't it be better to remove the advertisment (or changing it to something funny, f.e. FitFat)?

And because of the possibility of zooming (jack showed it some time ago) I think it would be good to add more details to the objects. For this object i think some buttons, a display, coin slot, a small grid for cooling on the side... could make the machine much more interesting on high zooming levels!

And there's a little correcture needed:

This could/would be added by texture on the yellow panel, so its only cosmetic finish. I would suggest doing something in the back of drink machine, some pipes, cables or something.

Yeah but I thought there are only finished objects on the list of the topic Smile

Btw: I am working on the desktop now.

The listed objects in topic should get flaged with "work in progress", "reserved" or "done".

Edit: The download of the template doesn't work.
Edit²: Ah, [wip] = work in progress flag. I overlooked that.

Where do you get the original images from?

Old school screencapturing!

When no one is able to create an object/sprite exporter I would agree to capture them all - it's quite easy with background eraser.

We do actually have one but you need to uncomment some lines in the source code to do it.

I'll try and make a mini-project for it when I am back home.

Ah!

Hm, good question/idea. I think it's better to make a modern LCD. It's nice and more individual Cool
