By the way, I think the "back" of the reception shouldn't be just a plain wall as in the original. Maybe it could be hollow, with for example a printer under there? _________________ For the End-Of-The-World spell, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. |

Wohow Yabol, verrry nice & authentic.
But I would like to see it also in original size - because of that lot of (nice) details it could look very ugly and crushed if you scale it to fit it 1:1 with the original. But I don't know - will there be a 32bpp system? Will we use big objects where you can zoom in to very detailed level? But then also 32bpp animations/people would be needed, and it would be a goliath-project - OpenTTD is working for years on it with a very big community and they don't got it finished till now.
If we only use original sized objects with possible scroll-out feature, you should test your objects on original scaling, Yabol. The phone is so detailed, but if you scale it down, it could look like a grease spot even because of that much details. |

It is always best to start out with a bigger original, so that we easily can scale things up when it is possible.
One way could be to use new graphics as much as possible and have the original ones as fall-back. There will of course be a lot of fall-backs in the beginning, but as long as it looks reasonably good on the "normal" zoom level it would be a nice way of seamlessly going from old to new.
We'll see... _________________ For the End-Of-The-World spell, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. |

It looks wonderful!
Interesting questions brought up about scale, Hm. I think we really need to get a demo out. As soon as that happens we can get the loading of custom objects done and that'll give you guys something to play around with, which you really need. Painkillers seem to have made it so I might be able to do a bit of programming today (no promises though! lots of threads to reply to first here...) _________________ - Jack |

thx guys
Kamo: dzieki
sorry that i dont reply earlier, i have too much work now, and no free time
i dont know if there will be 32bpp system, but it`s no problem, to render it smaler and without aa or enything else
for now it`s rather a test renders and i`m showing objects that i make.
if anything will be ok, then in the future i can make all graphics, and i hope, that there will be some option, to swich between diffrent graphics styles _________________ sitting here alone in my head and wondering why im here... |

We're not very active at the moment, since the actual game needs to get a little furher in development first. For example we need to know how new graphics can be implemented, what formats etc.
Have a look here: http://openth.pbworks.com/ _________________ For the End-Of-The-World spell, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. |

Oh hi there.
I need some feedback. And this model needs more frills. What do you people think?

Oh yeah, how's this for vomit?
Nobody needs to know it started out as a delicious pizza... |

Yep, looks really good. The lower handles seem quite small though, but that's the perspective? _________________ For the End-Of-The-World spell, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. |

| No, they actually ARE smaller. I did that because it's a "minor" closet, it's not important. The bigger handles at the top make the the top doors "jump out" more. I could make them bigger if you think it would help the model. |

It was just that to me it looks like people will have a hard time getting their fingers through to get a firm grip... Maybe knobs or something instead? _________________ For the End-Of-The-World spell, press Ctrl-Alt-Delete. |

Right, a few simple questions,
1) What Frame Rate are the animations?
2) How do we handle sprites that extend over multiple tiles?
so the frame rate is pretty straight forward, we better standardise this or the animations will not sync properly.
I assume we will just render the graphics for each tile in order... how will we specify the ordering etc, I may be being an idiot here but I’m unclear on this.
Oh and btw, I’ll do the pool table if no one has any objections.
Edit: and it would help if you stated how many tiles each object takes, as i dont have TH installed atm |
